Telonics is pleased to introduce the next generation of Argos Avian Transmitters. Telonics has pioneered the development of animal-born Argos transmitters beginning with the first successful deployments of Argos units on large mammals in the early 1980s. Since those early experiments, we have been involved in the instrumentation and study of literally thousands of free ranging animals worldwide. With the certification of the ST-24 Argos transmitter in early 2003, the door has opened to a new generation of microminiaturized Argos systems well suited for deployment on a variety of bird species.
