Telonics designed the PT-210 for quick deployment in tactical or covert operations. The PT-210 includes all of the sophisticated processing capabilities of the larger PT-100, yet is so small that it is easy to transport and conceal. The case of the PT-210 is high-impact resistant aluminum and is waterproof. The entire unit weighs only 3.3 lbs (1.5 kg), or 4.2 lbs (1.9 kg) with batteries.
The PT-210 is microprocessor-controlled and allows the user to select a variety of parameters via a handheld programmer in the field or an IBM compatible computer in the lab. A single PT-210 can receive, process, and transmit information generated by seismic, infrared and magnetic detectors either individually or in various combinations. Furthermore, a user can program units to transmit in either digital or voice format, yielding maximum flexibility. The PT-210 seismic circuitry can discriminate between vehicles and pedestrians and send separate identifying messages. The onboard EIDS animal filter further determines whether a two- or four-legged animal triggered the system. Users can also take advantage of an additional sensor that provides a switch closure upon detection (i.e. breakwire, active infrared, or pressure mat). The PT-210 can even trigger an external camera upon detection. By connecting a remote antenna to the PT-210, users can extend the transmission range. The integral battery pack facilitates battery changes in the field. Under normal conditions, the PT-210 will operate for three to four months without a battery change. The standard power supply (sold separately) is eight Duracell MN1604 batteries (standard alkaline 9V transistor batteries), with other battery options available upon request. Customers can also use solar-powered or commercial power sources, if desired.
Telonics can sell this product only to law enforcement, military, and government agencies; these products are for use only within such agencies.

Since 1970, Telonics has built a reputation based on product quality, product support, service, and customer satisfaction. Telonics strives to produce the highest quality products, and to support those products accordingly.
Because of extreme conditions and the unpredictable nature associated with most telemetry applications, problems occasionally arise. Most problems can be resolved quickly. In all cases, we hope to be able to work in partnership with users to resolve problems to the user's satisfaction and to uphold our demonstrated commitment to excellence. If problems should arise, all products must be returned to our factory for failure analysis.
