Note: The lifetime estimates are based on a daily Globalstar transmission, the VHF transmitter operating at 2000ms (30 beats per minute) for 8 hours per day, and extended operation at 0°C. For the TBTR-4360-4, operational life assumes one DL 2/3A lithium cell is installed; a second cell can be installed to double operational life. Overall operational temperature range is 70°C to -20°C for the TBTR-4360-4.
High impact plastic housing has a battery compartment with easy access/replacement of either 1 or 2 CR123 or DL2/3A (3V, lithium) batteries.
Battery life estimate assumes use of one CR123 or DL2/3A (3V, lithium), but a second battery can be installed to double life.
These transmitters are shipped without batteries; therefore, they do not require special shipping and handling, which is advantageous for international shipments and travel.
Units can be shut down with a magnet for short-term storage. Batteries should be removed when stored for long periods of time.
